World Incubator International Corporation (hereinafter the "Company") respects the privacy of all persons who use Factory Cloud and the services provided through Factory Cloud (hereinafter the "Service"; such persons are hereinafter referred to as "Users"), and handles Users' personal information with the utmost care.

Personal Information and Personal Data

In this Privacy Policy, "personal information" and "personal data" have the meanings set forth in Article 2, Paragraph 1 and Article 2, Paragraph 6, respectively, of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter the "APPI").

Compliance with Applicable Laws, Regulations and Guidelines

The Company handles Users' personal information lawfully and appropriately in compliance with the APPI and other applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.

Purposes of Use of Personal Information

The Company uses personal information for the purposes set out below, and will not use it beyond these purposes.

To authenticate individual Users and to provide the various services available to members
To send notices and communications of various kinds in connection with use of the Service
To provide personal information to companies using the Service, based on the User's consent
To store temporary backups in connection with the operation of the Service
To accept applications from, and communicate with, monitors and interviewees for the production of articles and similar content
To distribute newsletters, notices and other information to Users who have separately given their consent
To contact Users who have separately given their consent with requests for interviews and surveys
To distribute URL information to persons wishing to register for the Service
To search for, review, select and propose prospective partner companies for transactions, business support, business alliances and similar arrangements with Users
To compile and analyze registered information for purposes such as improving the Service, developing related businesses, and marketing by partner companies
To disclose or provide the results of the compilation and analysis described in the preceding item to third parties in a form in which individuals cannot be identified or specified
To respond to opinions and inquiries regarding the Service

Voluntary Nature of Providing Personal Information

If a User does not enter the items required for each of the services within the Service, the User may be unable to receive that service. The Company accepts no liability whatsoever for any damage or inconvenience caused to the User as a result.

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

As a general rule, the Company does not provide personal data to third parties without the consent of the User. However, in the following cases the Company may provide personal data to third parties without the User's consent, to the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations:

Where provision is necessary to protect the life, body or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual concerned
Where provision is especially necessary to improve public health or to promote the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the User's consent
Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national government body, a local government, or a party commissioned by either of them in carrying out affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the User's consent is likely to impede the performance of those affairs
Where disclosure is requested by a court, a public prosecutor's office, the police, a bar association, a consumer affairs center, or any body with equivalent authority
Where the User expressly requests disclosure or provision to a third party
Where disclosure or provision is permitted by laws and regulations
Where all or part of the handling of personal information is outsourced to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use

Disclaimer Regarding Provision to Third Parties

The Company bears no responsibility whatsoever for the acquisition of personal data by a third party in the following cases:

Where the User provides or discloses personal information to a third party using a function of the Service or by any other means
Where the User is unintentionally identified as a result of activity information or other information the User has entered into the Service
Where the User provides personal information to a third party on an external site operated by that third party and linked from the Service, and that personal information is used by that third party
Where a third party other than the User obtains information that can identify the User (ID, password, etc.) through no fault of the Company

Management of Personal Information by Recipient Companies

Users' personal information provided on the basis of the User's consent or any of the grounds set out in "Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties" above is managed in accordance with the personal information management rules established by the recipient company. The Company encourages recipient companies to manage Users' personal information appropriately and within the scope of the purposes of use.

Joint Use of Personal Data

The Company may jointly use personal data it has acquired with certain parties (hereinafter "Joint Users"). The Company may also jointly use personal data acquired by Joint Users.

Items of personal data jointly used: All items of personal data acquired by the Company and by Joint Users may in principle be jointly used between them; however, the Company and Joint Users will use only the minimum items of personal data necessary to perform their operations.
Scope of Joint Users: Tokeiren Business Center, coordinators belonging to Tokeiren Business Center, coordinators with whom the Company has concluded agreements concerning coordination work for the provision of the Service, and companies of the Company's group
Purposes of joint use: The same as the purposes stated in "Purposes of Use of Personal Information."
Party responsible for managing the jointly used personal data: The Company's Personal Information Management Officer

Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing

The Company may outsource all or part of its handling of personal information to external contractors. The Company remains responsible for the handling of personal information by such contractors.

Use of Statistically Processed Data

The Company may create statistical data, processed so that individuals cannot be identified, on the basis of the personal information provided to it. The Company may use such statistical data without restriction.

Changes to Personal Information

Users may view, correct, add to, delete, or suspend the use of the personal information they have registered with the Service at any time.
In addition, as a general rule only the User themselves may request notification of the purposes of use of their personal information. However, the Company may decline to disclose such information in the following cases:

Where the purpose of use of the personal information concerned is already clear
Where disclosure is likely to harm the life, body, property or other rights or interests of the User or a third party
Where disclosure is likely to harm the Company's rights or legitimate interests, for example by significantly impeding the proper operation of the Service
Where disclosure would violate other laws or regulations

Accuracy of Personal Information

The Company endeavors to process the personal information provided to it accurately and to keep it accurate and up to date. However, if any damage or disadvantage is caused to a User because the personal information the User provided is not accurate or up to date, the User shall bear all responsibility.

Restrictions on Acquiring Special Care-Required Personal Information

As a general rule, the Company does not acquire special care-required personal information (as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 3 of the APPI). This does not apply where the User has given prior consent or where acquisition is permitted under applicable laws and regulations. Where the Company properly acquires special care-required personal information directly from a User, the User's provision of that information shall be deemed to constitute their consent.

Management of Personal Information

The Company endeavors to implement appropriate security measures to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of the personal information under its control. Personal information is stored in a secure environment that is not accessible to the general public.

Identity Verification

When a User registers for or uses the Service, and when the Company responds to a request for disclosure, correction, deletion or suspension of use of personal information, the Company verifies the identity of the individual using information that can identify them (name, address, telephone number, date of birth, e-mail address, membership number, password, etc.). However, the Company bears no responsibility where a person other than the individual concerned obtains and uses such identifying information.

Acquisition and Use of Non-Identifying Attribute Information and Browsing History

The Company uses cookies in order to protect Users' privacy, improve convenience, deliver advertising, and obtain statistical data. Using technologies such as cookies and JavaScript, the Company may also acquire attribute information that cannot identify an individual (and that cannot identify an individual even in combination), such as age, gender, occupation and area of residence provided at the time of user registration, as well as Users' browsing history within the site (URLs accessed, content viewed, order of browsing, etc.). Cookies and browsing history contain no personal information whatsoever.

Recipient Information Entrusted to Us by Users

In the Service, recipient information is used solely to send messages at the User's request and is managed appropriately as personal information.
The registration, modification and deletion of recipient information is left to the User; as a general rule, the Service does not modify or delete it. If you wish to have such information modified or deleted, please contact the User who sent the message directly.

Acquisition and Use of Browsing History

The Company may acquire Users' browsing history within the site (URLs accessed, content viewed, order of browsing, etc.) in order to improve convenience for Users, deliver advertising, and obtain statistical data.
